Our Singing for Fun Group is a friendly bunch of people who like to sing all kinds of music.
We meet in the Congregational Church, Cemetery Lane, East Bergholt at 2.30 pm every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month until mid-December with no sessions in August.
We sing for an hour then have refreshments and social time in the church hall.
We currently have around 20 members, singing a mixture of rounds, African songs, sea shanties, gospel songs, traditional melodies, Billy Joel, Dolly Parton, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, ABBA, Frank Sinatra - whatever takes our fancy!
The 2nd Friday in December is always Christmas carols and mince pies.
If you enjoy singing and meeting people why not come along and join us?
There are no auditions to join the group and it is not a requirement for you to be able to read music, though if you can you’ll be helping others who can’t.
We make a maximum charge of £10 a term to cover venue hire and music purchase.
